In 2020 as outdoor dining became “the thing” it meant that you had to improvise the space. At Emmetts on MacDougal, beer barrels became seating, hot dog carts became the kitchen, and dogs were invited to dine. Most of all everyone was just happy to be outside their apartments for the first time in a few months.
